Mrs. Margaret Surma has been chosen as the Apple of our Eye for the month of June.
Mrs. Surma is the Lead Teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom and has been with our Primrose Family for six years. She was born and raised in Poland and always wanted to be a teacher from a young age. When she graduated high school, she pursued an Early Childhood Education degree in Gdansk, Poland. After college, Mrs. Surma worked as a preschool teacher for two years. After that, Mrs. Surma was promoted to the director of a local orphanage, which housed over sixty children and ten expectant mothers from broken households. After fifteen years, she then decided to move to the United States. She worked as an ACAD drafter for six years, but decided that teaching was her true calling.
Mrs. Surma is married to her husband, Andrew, who graduated from Buffalo University. Andrew has been working at Hill Phoenix for ten years. Mrs. Surma and her husband have one daughter, Michelle, who is eighteen years old. After graduating high school early, Michelle decided to study Pre-Med at Georgia Gwinnett College. She is currently a freshman and plans to transfer to Georgia Tech next year.
