Southern Style Mother-Daughter Tea Raises funds for Alzheimer's Research

Every year Mothers and Daughters all over the South get dressed up complete with their matching hats and corsages to enjoy each other's company in honor of Mother's Day.

This year was no exception as members of the GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club celebrated Mother's Day at the home of Ms. Sandy McGuire (seated second from left) where she hosted her 14th annual Mother-Daughter Southern Style Tea for family, friends and members of the community.

The event doubled as a fundraiser with this year's donations of $850 going to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.   Even the children greeting the guests at the entrance with homemade lemonade joined in and donated all the proceeds from their tip jars to the cause.
