State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship

Emily Gamble, senior at Parkview High School, received news that she is one of 26 seniors nationwide to be awarded the State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship. Emily will be attending the University of West Georgia in the fall, majoring in Sociology with the hopes to become a medical social worker at a children's hospital. In May, she will be an honor graduate, is currently active in the Parkview Chorus Program, a volunteer at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and works part-time at a local daycare.

State Farm Companies Foundation believes all children deserve an education that helps them reach their potential and prepares them for life.

To help students pursue higher education or skills training, the State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to 26 high school seniors who plan to attend college, technical, or vocational school, but often do not qualify for other scholarships.

Applicants must be high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to 3.2 on a 4.0 scale who will graduate at the end of the 2012-13 school year. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study for the 2013-14 academic year.
