The Georgia Adoption Reunion Registry is a contracted program with the State of Georgia/Department of Human Services. In Georgia, adoption records are sealed. However, if you are an adoptive parent or an adopted person 18 years of age and older, you can request non-identifying information from the sealed adoption record. Any adopted person 21 year of age or older can request to search for their birth family members and vice versa.
We also have a free monthly support group that meets once a month in midtown Atlanta for all person affected by adoption.
If you are interested in more information, please call us at (404) 657-3555. We would love to help you reunite with your birth family.
