Black Hawk Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Near Lilburn
No one was injured, though seeing a helicopter land near residences was a Sunday surprise.
A Black Hawk helicopter from Clay National Guard Center near Marietta conducted an emergency landing near a Lilburn-area residential area Sunday, according to media reports.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, citing WSB-TV, reported that a warning light in the cockpit came on, causing the pilot to land the helicopter in the 4800 block of Five Forks Trickum Road. A second Black Hawk landed later to assist, and both helicopters returned to Clay.
No injuries were reported. A resident told the AJC, “coming home to a military helicopter across from the house is quite odd.”
