Bowling Green State University Collegiate Choral at All Saints Lutheran

The Bowling Green State University Collegiate Chorale from Bowling Green, Ohio, will present a concert of sacred and secular music at All Saints Lutheran Church in Lilburn at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, May 12.  This 30-voice touring mixed choir is conducted by Timothy Cloeter.  Admission is free (a free will offering will be collected).

The varied concert program spans from classical music to American folksongs, from the Renaissance to the present, and from French chansons to vocal jazz.  Concert repertoire will include music by Schütz, Purcell, Bach, Brahms, Fauré, Debussy, Gjeilo, Jennings, Clausen, and Hogan.  Program highlights will include Bach’s motet “Ich lasse dich nicht,” Debussy’s Trois chansons de Charles d’Orleans, Fauré’s “Agnus Dei” from Requiem, Brahms’ Liebeslieder waltzes, and vocal jazz arrangements by the Real Group.

The Collegiate Chorale is the most select choir in a five-choir program within a College of Music comprising over 600 music majors. Consisting principally of juniors, seniors, and graduate students majoring in music, the Chorale engages audiences with authentic and conscientious performances of sophisticated and exceptional music, seeking to connect to listeners intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

All Saints Lutheran Church is located at 722 Rockbridge Road SW in Lilburn, GA.  Please call (770) 923–7283 or visit www.bgsuchorale.com for more information.
