Connecting With Our 30047 Neighbors

SafetySmart Lilburn, Inc. is hosting a "Kick Off" event June 15

Working to connect our neighborhoods is a goal that has incredibly positive results. Neighborhoods working together become safer and friendlier. Here is an opportunity to be part of that goal:

This Wednesday, June 15th SafetySmart Lilburn, Inc. is hosting a “Kick Off” event planning meeting seeking volunteers to help with the second annual National Night Out, Lilburn (Aug 2, 2011). Come join us at

Lilburn City Park Pavilion 7 p.m.

Be a part of this effort to help make your neighborhood safer and friendlier.

Last year near 300 of our “30047  neighbors” attended National Night Out, Lilburn as part of a nationwide National Night Out campaign involving citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.

In all, over 37 million people participated in National Night Out 2010.  There is no cost to participate in National Night Out. That always has been the commitment, but in today’s difficult economy, it’s worth highlighting .

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:

  • Heighten crime- and drug-prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
