As I do from time to time, I was reading the through the Declaration of Independence. The final line is moving but, because of current events, I saw it in a new light. It reads as follows...
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
Is it patriotic for an American citizen to keep their money off-shore in order to avoid paying American taxes? I think not. What say you?
