Welcome To Old Town Happenings
There is more going on in Old Town Lilburn than you realize.
The 7th Annual Lilburn Relay Rally was a great success. You can get those details on if you missed the original article. had its own celebration Friday night at 94 Main Street while the Relay Rally was in full swing. Customers, friends and more friends from The Relay for Life of Gwinnett, Georgia came by to visit before heading to the park.
Heather Condron, Lyn Hood and Greg Harrison, from the Gwinnett Relay, set up a table in front of the shop with left over crowns, wands, sunglasses and boas from their Mardi Gras theme last year. The donation jar filled up quickly.
Dog about town, Pepper, from Dunwoody, came with his owner Marie Shackelford. Marie is a jewelry designer and was showing off her new creations of necklaces and dog collars featuring dog bone beads she made in her studio. Her dog bone items are great for animal rescue fund raisers.

Lilburn regular, Chris Jones, had more news on his Sci Fi Summer Con, which will be held at the Crowne Perimeter Galleria Hotel in Atlanta June 10 - 12. The convention will feature guest speakers, indie filmmakers, game demos, live music and much more. Mark your calendar for a fun weekend if you love Sci Fi!
Scott Bernarde, Lilburn Patch's editor, stopped at The Watering Hole (the shop's spot for bottled and sparkling water) to say hello before heading to the Patch tent in the park. No one is safe from a photo op when you visit Main Street!

Friend and Lilburn resident, Diane, now dubbed Princess Di wearing her crown, accompanied me for a quick stop at the park to join the crowd at the Lilburn Relay Rally. I also donned a crown and boa. We made quite a pair strutting down Main Street.
Hugh Wilkerson, , enjoyed talking with friends. And my favorite Patch folks were found under their tent raising money for American Cancer Society with water, flowers and Patch items.
The weekend rounded off on Saturday with live music at the shop. "Questionable Characters", Bruce and Stan, have played at the shop on many occassions and plan to come back soon. The deck at 96 Main has been named in their honor.
