Business Spotlight: Shear Looks

Sandra Gordon was told by one of her high school teachers that she would make a great hair stylist, and that is exactly what she did.

In 1988, with the help of her partner and father, Gordon opened in Lilburn. Today, Sandra employs numerous stylists and her shop offers a full range of services including styling, trims, cuts, color, weaves and more.

I recently sat down with Sandra to talk about her business.

Patch: What is the best aspect of owning Shear Looks?

Sandra: I get to work with great people. It's by the grace of God that I get to do this, and I love it.

Patch: What is the most challenging aspect of owning your own salon?

Sandra: Being here all of the time. I'm pretty much here from open to close every day we're open.

Patch: What makes Shear Looks unique?

Sandra: I love my clients. They are awesome people, and we treat them like that.

Patch: What makes the Lilburn community special?

Sandra: We have people come from all over, Dallas, Georgia, Alabama, even North Carolina, but we have a great group of people that come from here. I spent from the time I was in high school till now in this city, and it's just a great place.
