Clothing Store Robbed at Gunpoint

The Rainbow clothing store in the Lilburn Corners shopping center was robbed by gunpoint back in August.

At employee at the store, located at 375 Rockbridge Road, told Lilburn police that a masked black man entered the store Aug. 22 at 9:09 p.m. Pointing a sawed-off shotgun at an employee, he demanded $150, which the employee took out from the cash register, says the police report.

After grabbing the money, he left the store, grabbed some clothes that were in a bush in front of the store and ran to the backside of the shopping center. The employee lost visual of the suspect and doesn't know if he left in a vehicle.

According to the report, the suspect is between 18 and 25 years old and around 125 to 150 pounds. During the armed robbery, he was wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black scarf with white paisley markings over his face. The employee also said the suspect had bloodshot eyes.

The employee said he didn't touch anything, so there were no fingerprints taken at the crime scene.
