'Dog Days of Summer' Comes to Lilburn Farmers Market

This Friday, August 8, is the Lilburn Farmers Market’s ‘Dog Days of Summer’ – bring your dog the market. Everyone is encouraged to bring their four footed friends on a leash to enjoy some special activities designed especially for dogs.

Lilburn Woman’s Club Conservation will be handing out ‘Doggie Goodie’ bags to all furry friends. The Atlanta Obedience Club will host a dog obedience demonstration during the market. They will also be available to answer any doggie questions you might have. Gwinnett Humane Society will bring dogs looking for a forever home to adopt.

Chef Stacy Maple will show us how to create ‘Slow Cooked Eggs over Wilted Spinach Salad with Potatoes’ at 6 pm. Chef Stacy always makes her recipes look so easy and she gives samples too!

Alex Porto, principal of St John Neumann Regional Catholic School, and his band will be playing for the market.

Scratch Cuisine is returning with delicious burgers and Paninis. Can’t wait! Fitzgerald’s Smoked Meats will have his special BBQ. Red Cactus Tamales will have their tamales with a special flair. So many great dinner choices.

Lizzie’s Pantry will be sampling their Awesome Creamy NON-GMO Heirloom Gayla’s Grits again. If you missed this last week – make sure you go back and have a taste. They are soooo good.

Cookie Monkey, Brownies Bakery, Tracy’s Tasties (cheesecake pops) and Carrell Farms return to the market this Friday. Make sure you come by and sample the boiled peanuts – Brie comes up with some amazing flavors!The Lilburn Farmers Market is a co-sponsored event with Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church at 1400 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn.
