Domino's Pizza Robbed

Inside the Police Reports: The Domino's Pizza on Indian Trail was robbed last weekend.

Around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, an employee at the at 529 Indian Trail Road reported that a black male entered the restaurant and robbed the establishment.

The employee said the man started to place an order for an ordinary pepperoni pizza. According to the Lilburn police report, the man kept making comments on how it looked dead, and he asked the employee if he was the only one there.

He then told the employee to give him the money in the register, and the employee complied. Just like the robber demanded, the pizza man placed the money on the counter, and, after placing a hand on the black handgun on his hip, the suspect told him to get the rest of the money. The employee got the rest of the money that had not gone in the safe, and the suspect left the store.

The suspect allegedly said, "Hold it down and next time I'll give you some" when he left.

The employee didn't see the car he left in, but he did receive an interesting phone call that ended just seconds before the suspect walked in.

According to the report, a female called the Domino's location and asked what time they close and if they would deliver. She said that they were staying at a nearby hotel on Steve Reynolds Boulevard. She also wouldn't say what room she was staying in; she just said to leave the pizza at the front desk because she was getting ready to leave. The phone immediately went dead.

When the employee called the number again, she said she was having reception issues, but the employee believes she was rubbing the phone against something to make it appear so.

The employee said the male had short black hair and a mustache. He was between 5'4" to 5'6" and weighed around 150 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black button-down shirt, dark-colored jeans and a chain around his neck.

Prints were recovered from the door and are currently in evidence. Surveillance tape from a nearby business is being evaluated so that Lilburn police can determine the suspect's vehicle.
