MOMS Concert Series: Lil' Al's Music Project and Freddy's Finest (w/ Kofi Burbridge)

Li'l Al plays a unique form of Gospel music with a hard-driving, blues-based beat. The musical genre is rooted in Gospel, but infused with rhythm and blues, jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop, country and ideas from other nations.

Freddy's Finest features MOMS very own Michael Hurwitz, from the motion picture 'Joyful Noise' and the Tommy Talton Band, on bass, vocals and fronting the band. Ian Newberry from Newberry Jam on guitar, Spencer Pope on keys and Will Groth holding down the skins. The group is mostly original, writing upbeat songs that keep the party right. They also cover a few classics from the likes of the Beatles, Otis Redding, James Brown and so on.

Freddy's Finest will be joined by Kofi Burbridge of the Grammy winning Tedeschi Trucks Band.
