Five Lilburn Students Named National Achievement Semifinalists

One Berkmar High senior and four from Parkview were named as possible recipients of the National Achievement Scholarship.

Five students from Lilburn were named as National Achievement semifinalists, giving them a chance at a scholarship.

Kerra I. Jones at High was named, and from , Caela A. Abrams, Jennifer A. Bunkley, Philip M. Musey, and Dakota Taggart made the list, Jorge Quintana said in an emailed statement.

Taggart was also named National Merit Scholarship semifinalist earlier this month.

The five were among 1,600 nationwide who were selected. More than 160,000 students from across the U.S. had asked to be considered for the scholarship, Quintana said.

From Gwinnett County, 32 students made the list.

Winners will be announced in the spring.
