The Community Council of Gwinnett County held their annual Networking Fair on Wednesday, September 18, 20013 in the Administrative Building at Gwinnett Technical College.
This event is a time for the various Agencies in Gwinnett County to exchange information in order to serve the people in need in our county.
The Networking Fair participants and other attendees were welcomed by the Council President, Beverly Howerton. She introduced the guest speaker, Charlotte Nash, whose topic was “The Importance of Sharing Information and Working Together”. Mss Nash stated that this is what makes Gwinnett unique. The people in this county see the importance of sharing and working together.
The agencies that participated were: AID Gwinnett/Ric Crawford Clinic, American Red Cross, Buford Human Service Center, the Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Centerville Community Center, Covenant Counseling and Family Resource Center, CredAbility, Eastside Medical H2U and Auxiliary, Families First, Family Promise, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Goodwill of North Georgia Career Center, GUIDE, Inc., Gwinnett Technical College Advancement Program, Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services, Gwinnett County DFACS, Gwinnett Council for Seniors, Gwinnett Senior Services, Gwinnett County Health Department, Gwinnett Extension Services, Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services/Safe Kids, Gwinnett County Public Library, Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, Gwinnett Technical College, Hi-Hope Center, H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Be Empowered), J.M. Tull Gwinnett Family YMCA, Julie Lyn Foundation, Inc., Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre, Norcross Cooperative Ministries, Norcross Meals on Wheels, Norcross Human Service Center, Northeast Talking Book Center, Partnership Against Domestic Violence, Rainbow Village, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Salvation Army of Gwinnett, Travelers Aid, United Way of Greater Atlanta and Portlight Stratagies, Inc.
This event was very successful. The Networking Fair Committee of the Community Council of Gwinnett would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Gwinnett Technical College for their generosity for sharing their facility for this annual event. We would also like to thank each and every participating agency, the attendees and guests who helped to make this event a success.
