Georgia's First Female Pit Master Opens "Bump's BBQ" In Lilburn To Great Praise

There are many proclaimed "BBQ Pit Masters" in Georgia- and a new one has entered the game. Bump's BBQ, located in Lilburn, opened recently with the state's first female pit master at the helm, Enia "Chef P" Patterson. Chef P, an Atlanta native who also serves as the kitchen manager at sister sports bar, Rivals On Five, brings her original flavors and style to a town that has been hungry for barbecue. Pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs, smoked chicken, and smoked turkey legs are prepared fresh and daily- and it is not at all unusual for the food to run out before closing time.

The name comes from favorite Lilburn son Justin "Bump" Chambers, a very good friend of Chef P's who serves as the restaurant ambassador, handyman, and greeter. "Everyone knows and loves Bump, so it just made sense to give our place a name that complements this fine town," Chef P shares. Bump is a Parkview High School graduate who also serves as an assistant for his alma mater's state and national championship baseball program. It's easy to figure this out by the decor that adorns the walls.

Pimento Mac n' Cheese, Sweet Tea Collards, and "Brunswick stew [as] authentic as it gets" according to one guest, there is something for everyone. Guests can dine in, either with table seating or at the bar (which offers 6 domestic & craft drafts as well as a dozen canned beers and self-serve fountain drinks), or take out/pick up.
