Get to Know the Apple of Our Eye; Celebrating Teachers All Year Long!

Celebrate with Mrs. Rebecca Powers..this month’s Apple of Our Eye!

Mrs. Powers has been a member of our Primrose family since 2004 and is currently a teacher in our Infant classroom. She and her husband, Patrick, were married in 1976 and have 4 grown children. They have 2 grandchildren, Patrick (8 years old) and Katherine (4 years old) who are the apple of her eye. They are “empty nesters” with the exception of their sweet dog, Diesel.

Mrs. Powers was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Ohio, where both of her parents reside. She attended a small community college in Ft. Lauderdale, which is where she and Pat met and married. While in school, Mrs. Powers studied Early Childhood Education. Children have always been a passion of hers. She enjoys them with all her heart and it is pretty obvious to anyone that knows her! Her love of children is reflected in the time she spends interacting with the infants on their level. We just love to see her singing and dancing with them!

Mrs. Powers enjoys working out, running, reading, and traveling. She especially loves Utah and Washington State, where her children and grandchildren live. She enjoys music and supporting the arts. Her big passion is yoga, both practicing and teaching. In 2012 she became certified as a registered Yoga Instructor and teaches in Snellville. She encourages and empowers many of our staff here at Primrose to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
