Gwinnett Armed Robber Gets Life in Prison
Ladarius Martez Clark shot his victim in the shoulder, before leading police in Virginia on a high-speed chase.

LILBURN, GA — A Gwinnett County armed robber who shot his victim in a 2013 incident has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
Ladarius Martez Clark, 23, was convicted by a Gwinnett County jury of armed robbery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, theft by taking and burglary last week.
On August 9, 2013, officers responded to a home in Lilburn where they found the victim, Ali Habibi, had been shot in the shoulder.

Habibi and his roommate, Charamin Peyman, said they had been robbed at gunpoint.
The victims' car, a BMW 325i, a television and several cellphones were stolen during the robbery.

Investigators identified five suspects, including Clark. He and another suspect were apprehended in northern Virginia by the Virginia State Police after they led law enforcement on a high-speed chase later the same day.
After deliberating for about 45 minutes last Wednesday, the jury found Clark guilty on all counts against him.
Superior Court Judge George F. Hutchinson, III then sentenced him to life in prison, plus five years.
