Gwinnett Firefighters Have Busy Hour With At Least 5 Calls
No one was injured, and none of the fires were serious.

Gwinnett County fire crews were kept busy Saturday afternoon with multiple calls within about an hour of each other. None of the fires were serious or caused any injuries.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the calls, from Gwinnett Fire (from PIO Lt. James Jester):
HOUSE FIRE

Firefighters responded at 4:29 p.m. to report of a house fire at 1437 Latham Court in Lawrenceville. The caller reported a light fixture on fire in the bathroom and stated the house was full of smoke. Initially there was nothing showing, but a small fire was located within the wall and was quickly extinguished.
Equipment at the scene included: 3-Engines, 1-Ladder Truck, 1-Squad, 1-Medic Unit and 2-Battalion Chiefs

HOUSE FIRE
Firefighters responded at 4:42 p.m. to report of a house fire at 2642 Inverlock Circle in Duluth. The caller reported that their roof was on fire in the area of the chimney. There was no active incident found, but crews did assist with cleaning out the fireplace and installed two smoke detectors within the home.
Equipment at the scene included: 3-Engines, 1- Ladder Truck, 1-Medic Unit and 1-Battalion Chief
HOUSE FIRE
Firefighters responded at 5:25 p.m. to report of a house fire at 1073 Park Forest Court in Lilburn. The caller reported smoke being inside the residence. Crews arrived on scene with nothing showing. A small fire was located in a basement wall and was quickly extinguished.There was no further extension within the structure. Fire was deemed to be accidental.
Equipment at the scene included: 3-Engines, 1-Ladder Truck, 1-Medic Unit and 2-Battalion Chiefs
HOUSE FIRE
Firefighters responded at 5:29 p.m. to report of a house fire at 3570 Cruse Road in Lawrenceville. The caller reported a possible fire in the dryer. Crews arrived on the scene with nothing showing, and no fire was found upon further investigation.
Equipment at the scene included: 2-Engines, 1-Ladder Truck, 1-Medic Unit and 1-Battalion Chief
APARTMENT FIRE
Firefighters responded at 5:38 p.m. to report of a possible apartment fire at 3384 Chelsea Park Lane in Peachtree Corners. The caller reported a grass/woods fire very close to the apartment. On arrival, crews reported large amounts of smoke in the area. Further investigation revealed the incident to be a grass/woods fire and not involve any structure. All units, with the exception of the first arriving apparatus, were quickly returned to service.
