Gwinnett Medical Welcomes 100,000th Baby
Brian and Kimberly Baker's third child is the 100,000th baby to be born at the hospital. Watch the video of the proud parents, and see pictures of the baby girl with her big brother and sister.
The birth of all their children was a special occasion for Brian and Kimberly Baker of Lawrenceville. But the arrival of their third child, a little girl named Lucy, was an extra special event for the place where she was born.
At 10:02 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 9, Lucy became the 100,000th baby to be born at . Big sister Sara, 4 and older brother John, 2, also are among children born at the hospital since its Women’s Pavilion first opened in April 1991.
“After researching hospitals prior to the birth of our first child, we landed at GMC,” said proud dad Brian Baker. “While Lucy was the 100,000th baby delivered here, the exceptional treatment we received previously was no different.”

Lucy was born by C-section. She came into the world weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces and 20 inches long.
Sara and John are already enjoying their little sister and helping out stay-at home dad Brian Baker. Kimberly Baker will return to work as a civil engineer after she completes her maternity leave.

“Oh, they are in love,” said mom about how her two older kids feel about the new baby. “They love her a lot. John likes to give her her paci and Sara likes to hold her.”
