Update: Gwinnett Police Involved in Lilburn Shooting; Suspect Injured
A county police officer shot a suspect who pulled a handgun.

A Gwinnett County police officer shot a man in the shoulder Thursday after the man pulled a handgun whle the officer was trying to talk to him and another man.
The policeman was patrolling around Worcester Place and Derby Court in unincorporated Lilburn, on the lookout for suspicious-looking people, since there have been 33 burglaries in a one-mile radius of the intersection since the beginning of August, Corporal Jake Smith said in an email.

The officer saw two men walking down Worcester. He stopped his car and asked to speak to the pair, but they ignored him. When the officer tried again to talk with them, one of them pulled a handgun from his waistband, and the officer shot at him, according to the email. The second man was trying to get something from his backpack.
The wounded man's injuries were minor, and he was taken into custody. He is likely to be charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm whle commiting a crime.

The second man ran and got into a dark-colored SUV driven by an unknown person.
