Lilburn Farmers Market: What's happening at the market on Friday, August 5
Lilburn Farmers Market, a producer only market, operates every Friday in June, July and August from 4 to 8 PM at 1400 Killian Hill Road.
School is starting on Monday and most parents are searching for new foods to pack in lunches and have for snacks. Come to the Lilburn Farmers Market and find a wide variety of foods to make delicious treats that even the pickiest eater will enjoy. Freshly baked breads, sausages, energy bars, granolas, fresh veggies, local honey/jams for PBJ sandwiches, and of course, assorted baked goods are yummy parts to a lunch. Peaches, melons, plums, dried apple slices, and blueberries are great additions to any meal. Looking for easy dinner options, pick up ready to eat prepared chicken pot pies, enchiladas, meatloaf and salmon in puff pastries, BBQ by the pound, grass fed - grain finished pork (thick pork chops, Boston Butts, bacon), and a variety of sausages are available this week.
Looking to pick up dinner? Fitzgerald's Smoked Meats will have BBQ - chicken, beef, and pork and smoked tilapia (too good to put into words). This is the last week for Rey's Cuban Cafe - so make sure to come by for your fill of Cuban sandwiches, tamales, rice and beans.
