Lilburn Man Convicted of Assaulting Man He Called 'Muslim Terrorist'
Joseph Brent Harvill, 53, will be sentenced on April 22.

LILBURN, GA -- A Lilburn man who attacked his neighbor and called him a "Muslim terrorist" has been found guilty of assault.
Joseph Brent Harvill, 53, was convicted of assaulting a native of Bosnia who lives next to Harvill's parents' home, where Harvill reportedly lives in the basement.
The Gwinnett County District Attorney's office said in a news release that during his July 28, 2014 attack on Senad Ramic, Harvill called the man a "Muslim terrorist."

Harvill was found guilty of attacking Ramic with a baseball bat after unsuccessfully trying to hit him with a stick.
"He ... tried to attack Ramic, but he was able to dodge the swinging bat," assistant district attorney Dan Mayfield said in a news release. "The bat ended up damaging Ramic’s vehicle."

Harvill is scheduled to be sentenced on April 22.
