Gwinnett Man Shot and Killed Sunday Night

NORCROSS, GA -- A Gwinnett County man was shot and killed Sunday night, according to police.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a person-shot call at Indian Trail Apartment Homes, on Indian Trail-Lilburn Road, at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release.

The victim, identified as 43-year-old Vernie Burroughs, was found dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators were still working the scene early Monday morning and no additional details were provided.
