Man Killed While Lying in Bed During Home Invasion Robbery

Gwinnett Police say armed masked men killed Clifford Hogan for $1,400, cell phones, pot and purse.

Gwinnett Police says it’s following multiple leads in a home invasion and homicide early Saturday morning near Norcross.

Police said Clifford Hogan, 38, was found lying face-down next to his bed around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 27 at 3108 Park Colony Drive. Hogan had one gunshot wound to the lower abdomen; he died later at Gwinnett Medical Center.

The crime scene is located in an area near Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Norcross Tucker Road.

Police said in a news release Monday that Hogan and his girlfriend were in bed when two masked men entered the bedroom, armed with a pistol and rifle, and demanded money.

One of the suspects then shot Hogan.

They stole $1,400 in cash, marijuana, cell phones and the woman’s purse.

The suspects may have fled in a dark-colored, mid-sized sedan.
