A man was robbed and shot in the head by someone he invited to his home to discuss a job opportunity. The victim was sent to the hospital, but police observed that the bullet only grazed his head.
According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the incident occurred Dec. 15 around 11:45 p.m. at the victim's home on the 4100 block of Cookcreek Drive near Burns Road.
The victim, a 42-year-old African-American man, told police that he had met the suspect, also an African-American man, a few days before at a car wash off Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

The 42-year-old offered the him a possible job and gave a business card for his cleaning business. They eventually set up a time to talk at the victim's home.
When the man showed up at the house Dec. 15, the suspect demanded money instead. The victim informed police that he offered the only $20 he had, but the suspect didn't think it was good enough.

The suspect produced a small black semi-automatic handgun, says the report, and he grabbed the chain off the victim's neck, estimated to be worth $1,000.
The two then got into a physical altercation in the driveway. At one point, the suspect pointed the gun at the victim's head. He pulled the trigger, causing the bullet to graze the victim's head. The suspect ran and drove off in a white, older Cadillac model with shiny chrome rims.
Two witnesses confirmed the victim's story to police, although one witness claimed never hearing a gunshot.
According to the victim, the African-American suspect was six feet tall, 180 pounds and between the ages of 30 and 40. At the scene of the crime he was allegedly wearing a black cap, blue Docker-type pants and a blue jacket. A possible phone number of the suspect was given to police, but the report does not detail any arrests that have been made.
