Next-Door Neighbors Robbed on Same Day
Inside the Police Reports: Burglaries were reported at two homes next to one another near Burns Road.

Two next-door neighbors on the 600 block of East Fork Shady Drive near Burns Road in Lilburn reported burglaries Sept. 2.
The first reported crime is believed to have occurred between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the police report.
The victim, 42, said she noticed the back porch had been kicked open when she arrived home from work. Two bedrooms were ransacked, and the victim said $2,700 worth of items were taken: a white HP laptop, a Samsung flat screen television and a jar of coins.

In the other incident, which is believed to have occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., the 15-year-old victim said the only item she found missing was a $100 bill from her jewelry box. Pictures and items of clothing were tossed around and drawers were left open, but nothing else, including the home's electronics, had been taken.
The victim, a Berkmar student, said the front and rear doors of her home were wide open when she came home, and there were no signs of forced entry.
