Parkview and Simpson earned the distinction in the Top 10 percent category.
“We believe that our students’ success is the result of our schoolwide focus on providing engaging classroom instruction, allowing time for teachers to collaborate and plan for improved student learning,” said Parkview principal David Smith, “and offering enrichment and support opportunities to all of our Parkview students.”
Smith credited community involvement — including the lower schools in the cluster — for paving the way for the achievement.
“We have a supportive community that values education and cluster schools that send us well-prepared students who are anxious to learn,” he said.
With the recognition, Parkview also received a $1,000 award from Georgia Natural Gas.
