Peachtree Ridge Mauls Meadowcreek 55-6

Mustangs barely avoid a shutout by scoring with less than two minutes left in the game.

The Peachtree Ridge Lions nearly shut out the Meadowcreek Mustangs 55-6 Friday night at Meadowcreek.

The first half of the game belonged to the Lions. They scored five touchdowns, two safeties and a field goal and ended the half ahead 41-0.

The Lions were only able to score two more touchdowns in the second half against a better prepared Mustang defense.

Meadowcreek’s offense never gave up, either. With less than 2 minutes remaining in the game they scored a touchdown of their own to prevent a shutout.  

Peachtree Ridge improved to 3-1 while Meadowcreek's record fell to 0-4.
