Player of the Week: Jack Esmonde

The wild finish to last week’s Brookwood-Parkview football game included some of Jack Esmonde’s most effective quarterback play of the season.

The senior, now a two-time , completed 13 of 17 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns in the 23-19 loss to the Broncos.

Both TDs came late in the fourth quarter as the teams traded touchdowns.

Other top performers for :

Shaq Vereen, defensive back: The junior had 12 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup.

Sam Willis, defensive line: The junior had seven total tackles, two tackles for losses and one quarterback hurry.

Michael Sun, defensive line: The junior had eight total tackles, one tackle for loss, two quarterback hurries, one pass breakup.

John Patterson, linebacker: The sophomore was in on 11 tackles.

Kyle Williams, linebacker: The junior had 10 total tackles and two quarterback hurries.

Jordan Reid, wide receiver: The senior had three receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Chris Carson, running back: The junior had 86 rushing yards, 31 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Blake Dunham, offensive line: The junior had a high blocking grade.

Mac Marshall, wide receiver: The sophomore had 31 receiving yards and a high assignment grade.
