Storm is Coming: Providence Reveals New Mascot Name
Providence Christian Academy has a new name and look — the Stars are now the Storm.

It's been talked about at school since before graduation (and even DURING graduation) and on Wednesday, revealed its new mascot — The Storm.
When searching for an athletic icon to represent its team, administrators looked for something that exemplified the Christian principles of Providence, they explained in Vimeo videos linked from the school's Facebook page.
The video explains that they gained inspiration from Zacharia 9:14:

In the video, Connie Adams, the Elementary and Middle School Principal, explained that storms are under God's control. "We want to be under the Lord's command," she said.
