Safe Alcohol Sales 90% of the time in unincorporated Lilburn

We are very excited that 90% of businesses checked in unincorporated Lilburn did not sell alcohol to the underage decoys. This means that owners and managers of these businesses are doing a great job in training their employees to check IDs of customers who buy alcohol.

One of the major reasons why we, as a community, want to make sure that our teenagers and young adults do not drink is because alcohol slows down brain activity and development, along with interfering with storing of new information as memories. The latest research shows that this impact continues until the brain has fully developed, which takes 23-25 years. Reducing the retail access of alcohol to those under 21 creates a healthier and safer community while preventing the damage alcohol causes the developing brain.

We salute and thank the 90% of alcohol retailers who did not sell alcohol to the underage decoys during April, May and June during the compliance checks. The following businesses continue to make our community healthier and safer:
