High-profile international soccer is set to hit the Georgia Dome on July 20, and fans that want to attend can purchase tickets through the Atlanta Silverbacks, the club announced on Wednesday.
The Silverbacks are offering a special two-pack of tickets that will allow fans to attend the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals as well as a 2013 Silverbacks game. The two-packs will start as low as $34 – a rate that will save fans nearly $31 from the normal online pricing for both events.
Fans may choose to redeem their Silverbacks ticket for this Saturday’s home game against the NASL’s defending champions, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, or the club’s home game against the Carolina RailHawks on August 10. The Gold Cup ticket will be good for both quarterfinal matchups at the Georgia Dome – a doubleheader event on July 20 that will include Mexico if they advance from the group stage.

El Salvador is another team that could be playing at the Georgia Dome if they advance from the group stage, and their roster for the tournament will feature a very familiar face. Silverbacks midfielderRICHIE MENJIVAR is just one of two NASL players listed on Gold Cup rosters. The 22-year-old midfielder will play for El Salvador, a country he has represented six times at the senior international level.
“We’re excited to present Atlanta fans with an affordable way to see two great soccer events,” said Silverbacks General Manager Andy Smith. “The fact that Richie could be playing in the Gold Cup in the Georgia Dome is a pretty fantastic bonus.”

Menjivar and the Silverbacks currently sit atop the NASL standings with just three games to play in the league’s spring season. Should the Silverbacks finish the job and win the spring season, they will host November’s NASL Championship game against the winner of the fall season, which begins in August.
