Three Earn National Merit Scholarships

Local seniors awarded scholarships from the colleges they'll attend.

Three Lilburn-area high school seniors have been awarded college-sponsored scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

The students will receive between $500 and $2,000 annually for four years of undergraduate study at the college or university sponsoring the scholarship.

Gabriella Anderson, Lilburn, Parkview High School: Auburn University (probable field of study, Theater).

Sampurna Mandal, Lilburn, Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology: Georgia Tech (probable field of study, Biomedical Engineering).
