Two Arrested After Homeowner Surprises Burglars

A homeowner on Rosser Court came home to find burglars in her house Monday. The burglars fled, and Gwinnett police, responding with K-9 and helicopter units, were able to arrest two suspects, Gwinnett Police Department Spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.

Based on reports from people in the area, there may have been three burglars, Smith said.

The two arrested were both males in their teens.

The suspects had parked their car in the driveway of the house that was burglarized, and it was recovered, Smith said.

Lilburn City Police also helped in the search, he said.

Once the suspects are interviewed, police may know whether there was in fact a third person involved. If you see any suspicious-looking people, call 911, Smith said. If you have information that will help the detectives, call 770-513-5300.
