Whiz Kids: Fifth-Grader Honored for Best in Show Artwork

-Β Β Accomplishment: Avery won the β€œBest in Show” at last month’s Spring into Art Show at , an annual event is sponsored by the Lilburn Woman’s Club. She presented the framed artwork to Mayor Diana Preston at Monday’s Lilburn City Council meeting. The art will be displayed at city hall.

- Key to Her Awesomeness: Avery, a fifth-grader at R.D. Head Elementary School in Lilburn, won the award over dozens of other entries from area schoolchildren. An avid art student, she said, β€œI was really thrilled for it to be chosen, I think this is one of the best pieces I’ve ever done and I was really excited about it.”
