15 Seniors From Gwinnett Schools Earn Full Ride in College

The group represents the largest number of Gwinnett students to be named Gates Millennium Scholars.

Fifteen seniors from Gwinnett County Public Schools have been named 2014 Gates Millennium Scholars, earning them a full ride in college.

The group represents the largest number of Gwinnett students to earn the recognition in one school year. The students are:

The program, funded by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, promotes academic excellence for outstanding minority low-income students, says a GCPS press release.

In addition to full scholarships for undergraduate studies, Gates Millennium Scholars also qualify for funding to cover graduate and doctoral work in the areas of computer science, education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health or science.
