• Kentucky DL Nic Smith dies; no foul play suspected (97xonline.com) — A former Walnut Grove High School football standout, Nic Smith, has died at age 20 while playing as a redshirt defensive lineman for the University of Kentucky. Authorities say no foul play is suspected as they investigate his death, and his coaches and school community are mourning the loss of the Georgia recruit.
