  1. Fire crews rescued four people from Gwinnett County's rising Yellow River over the weekend. The rescue occurred near Yellow River Park around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. The group was reportedly playing in the river when the water began to suddenly rise. Rescue crews located the group stranded on a large rock and used personal floatation devices to guide them to shore. (Fox 5 News)
  2. A Gwinnett County QuickTrip gas station carjacking victim was reportedly filling his tires with air during the tragic incident. The suspect's car pulled into the space next to the victim's vehicle. When the victim attempted to stop the carjacking, the suspects shot him in the head. First responders pronounced the man dead on the scene. The police report of possible identification of the victim but are awaiting the medical examiner to ID the body. (News Channel 9)
  3. The Gwinnett County Police Department will have a behavioral health responder team on duty seven days a week. The new policy was funded through a decision by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. The commission added two licensed clinicians to the department through a $540,000 contract with View Point Health. There are now three clinicians in the unit. (AJC.com)
