Alleged Check Forger Arrested in Douglas, Ga.

Police say a man connected to an illegal check printing operation in Gwinnett County has been arrested in Douglas, Ga.

Inginac Theodore was wanted for his involvement in a forged check scheme based at 3205 Newcastle Way in unincorporated Snellville.

Theodore and another man, Bryson Bryant, were arrested June 16 by Douglas Police for printing forged checks and passing them all over Coffee County, Gwinnett Police said.

Gwinnett Police had been looking for Theodore since Feb. 13, 2015 after a search of the Newcastle Way residence uncovered a check forgery operation. Two people, Rochelle Carter and Johnnie Holland, were arrested the same day, but Theodore remained at large.

Those arrests came after an investigation by the Electronic and Financial Crimes Unit, following complaints from Gwinnett businesses about fake checks over a two-year period.

Police said Theodore and Bryant were in the process of printing forged checks when Douglas PD arrested them on June 16.

Theodore is currently being held without bond in the Coffee County Jail on five felony charges. He is awaiting transfer to Gwinnett County and Athens-Clarke County.

He faces felony printing checks and RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act charges in Gwinnett.
