Ammazza Pizza Opening in Decatur

DECATUR, GA -- Ammazza, the popular Neopolitan-style pizza restaurant on Edgewood, is opening a location in Decatur.

Atlanta Eater reports that the new location will be on East Howard Avenue, in the former location of Twisted Soul.

“For the most part the menu is same,” co-owner Hugh Connerty said in an email to the food blog. “The space is a bit smaller and a different layout, so we don’t have room for our big dough room or the real long walk-in that we use as part of our dough-aging process. All that means is we’re going to have to make all of it on Edgewood and cold truck it over there.”

Connerty told Eater he hopes the new location is ready to open by summer.

Ammazza’s current location, in the Old Fourth Ward, has a four-star rating on Yelp.
