Buck Jones Nursery Celebrates 40 Years

In 1972, on a card table in his bedroom and with his wife by his side, Mr. Arthur A. "Buck" Jones stepped out of his comfort zone and started a wholesale nursery.

In the beginning, his business was primarily focused on locating plant material and sod for landscape customers in the Lawrenceville/Grayson area. But as the company grew and the demand was greater, he started bringing in plant material and sod for landscapers and eventually retail customers to come and choose from themselves.

This year, Buck Jones Nursery is celebrating 40 years in business. Over the years, two other locations have been added (Woodstock, GA and Wrens, GA) and dozens of employees have been hired.

The family atmosphere felt in the workplace and as a customer coming in to purchase items hasn't changed. Some employees have been with Buck Jones Nursery for 25 years. Many customers have been shopping with Buck Jones Nursery for as many years.

During 2012, each of the Buck Jones Nursery locations will be hosting special events and sales. Keep an eye on the website, blog and Twitter for updates.
