Arson Blamed for Weekend Fire at Vacant Loganville House
The fire happened around 2 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Strawberry Walk.

Fire authorities say arson is to blame for a fire at a vacant house near Loganville over the weekend.

The fire, which caused minor damage and was extinguished quickly, happened around 2 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Strawberry Walk.
No one was at the house when firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.

Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said evidence was found at the scene indicating the fire was intentionally set, and there were signs of previous vandalism.
Investigators are following leads, but are not releasing any specifics.

Georgia Arson Control, Inc. offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist. Arson is a felony and punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
