  1. From dancing to comedy to drama, the Aurora Theatre has plenty of hot performances happening in June this year! This gorgeous theater is only 20 minutes away from the center of Loganville and has multiple performances including FOUR: A Cirque Show on Jun. 17 or Dancing Stars of Gwinnett on Jun. 18! "We are in the midst of adding a boatload of new programs, from concerts, to cabaret nights and to exciting global celebrations," said Ann-Carol Pence, Aurora's co-founder and producing artistic director.   2. Boston College's defensive line soared last year with the addition of '21 recruit Neto Okpala from Loganville. The Loganville High graduate came to the Heights with an impressive record of 88 tackles, 13 sacks, five fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and a touchdown as a senior in 2020.   4. Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, just a few miles from the Loganville-Grayson area, is expanding with a new patient tower and medical offices. The structure recently broke ground on new renovations that include a patient tower adding 132 new patient beds. There will also be a new outpatient waiting area and lobby. The project is also estimated to create 5,000 new jobs for those in the area. (WSB Atlanta)
  5. Looking for a new job? The Atlanta Airport is holding a job fair next Tuesday, Jun. 14 to fill managerial roles, cargo, maintenance, and more. The hiring event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Atlanta airport's domestic terminal atrium, 6000 North Terminal Parkway. If you plan to attend, be sure to pre-register online and bring two forms of government ID. All applicants must pass a 10-year federal background check to work at the airport. (Atlanta Patch)
