Boy Dies After Shooting In Lawrenceville, Police Investigate

A juvenile male who was shot Tuesday night on Bernice Drive later died in a local hospital.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A boy died after a shooting Tuesday night in Lawrenceville, and Gwinnett County Police are trying to find out why.

Police responded to a call at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday reporting a shooting on Bernice Drive. When they arrived, they learned that a juvenile male had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The juvenile died at the hospital.

Authorities said it’s unclear what prompted the shooting and have not provided a description of a suspect. The juvenile has not been publicly identified.
