Car in Loganville Flips After Swerving To Miss a Deer
Much of Georgia is in the peak of white-tailed deer mating season, when deer strikes are most common.

LOGANVILLE, GA — Walton County Sheriff's deputies were working a scene early Wednesday where a car flipped after swerving to avoid a deer.
The single-vehicle crash happened at Shiloh Road and Hwy. 81.
Traffic was slowed at the intersection during the early part of rush hour, but there were, surprisingly, no injuries reported, the sheriff's office said.

"During the rut, the desire to breed causes deer to become more active compared to the rest of the year," the DNR says. "Bucks move more and become less secretive, making them easier to hunt and more susceptible to being hit by motor vehicles."
