Mother Faces Murder Charges After Child, 1, Found Dead On Christmas: Gwinnett Police

A 1-year-old was found dead after a mother failed to seek medical attention, according to Gwinnett County police.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Norcross mother faces murder charges in the death of her 1-year-old son, according to Gwinnett County police.

On Christmas the boy was found dead at 231 Seasons Parkway, according to a news release. Oluwadamilola Imafiabor, 29, reported the child was run over by a truck on December 24 while playing outside, but police said her story is inconsistent.

Initially, she stated the child appeared to be fine after the incident but died later during the night. An autopsy was performed on the child, and police the injuries don't match with her first statement.

Imafiabor is charged with Murder in the 2nd and Cruelty to Children 2nd degree after she failed to seek medical attention, said police.
