Disorderly Conduct: Man Jumped on Walmart Truck to Hitch Ride

Zone 3
Theft – Prescription drugs were reportedly taken from an individual after giving a subject a ride to the truck stop on Hwy 11.
Theft – A black trailer was taken from a residence on Gene Bell Rd.
Zone 4
Burglary – The backdoor to a residence on John Stowe Rd. was kicked in. The residence was ransacked and items were taken.
Suspicious Person – Corey McDonald was observed knocking on the doors of residences in the Mt. Vernon Rd. / Ike Stone Rd. areas asking for directions. He was found walking south on Mt. Vernon Rd., and Walton County deputies provided him with a ride to a truck stop. He was later arrested for Disorderly Conduct for jumping onto the hood of a Walmart semi-truck attempting to hitch a ride.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 near the Forest Falls subdivision. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest during the safety check.

Safety Checkpoint – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Youth Jersey Rd. at Broadnax Mill Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Royce Cofer was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce.
Zone 7
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Taylor Drive in the McKinsey Ridge subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
