  1. Grayson's Mayor and City Council will be meeting on Monday, Jul. 18 for the final public hearing regarding the millage rate. During the meeting, the mayor and council will set the 2022 Millage Rate. The proposed increase would result in a rate of 1.985 mills — a .342 mills increase. (City of Grayson)
  2. Gwinnett County Commissioner Kirkland Carden will be hosting another town hall meeting on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be at Pinckneyville Park in Peachtree Corners. Residents are encouraged to attend for answers regarding their annual property tax bill. There will be a live stream of the town hall available on Facebook for those that cannot make it in person.   3. A North Gwinnett High School graduate has been awarded a coveted Perdue Farms scholarship. Lilyan Luu has been given the $5,000 scholarship through the farm's Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service. She will be using the scholarship to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology.   4. A man has been arrested by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office after an investigation into alleged sex crimes. Richmond Totimeh has been charged with the Use of Computer Service to Seduce a Child, Obscene Internet Contact with a Child, and Criminal Attempt to Commit Aggravated Child Molestation by Sodomy. He is being held without bond. The department is reminding parents to monitor children's internet usage. (CBS 46 News)
